Dr Mukhtar Ali

PhD, DACM

A member of the Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine association, Dr Mukhtar Ali received his doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. He obtained his Master’s degree in 2011 from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine and has been licensed to practice Chinese Medicine by the California Acupuncture Board since 2015.

Before his medical training, Dr Ali completed a PhD in Arabic and Persian Sufi literature from the University of California, Berkeley in the Department of Near Eastern Studies. His focus in medicine complements his study of mysticism, as he delves into the esoteric aspects of the human being, the spiritual origins of disease and their appropriate treatment.

Dr Ali treats a variety of conditions using acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutrition, cupping and internal energy development.

DR KARRAR ALI

Dr. Ali is a board certified, residency-trained emergency room physician in San Diego, California. He has been in practice for 15 years, working from small community hospitals to large, metropolitan trauma centers. He is a senior partner of Vituity, a multi-specialty physicians group that extends throughout the USA. 

Dr. Ali completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University, St. Louis and earned a Masters in Public Health at the University of Illinois, Chicago. He attended Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and obtained his Doctorate in Medicine. He completed his residency training in emergency medicine at Midwestern University, Chicago.

Dr. Ali is a board member of the San Diego County Medical Society, member of the San Diego County Health Services Advisory Board, and an adjunct faculty member of Midwestern University.

He currently resides in La Jolla, California and is a consulting physician for Sage Clinics USA.
